GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE (GES) 2025/2026 ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR BASIC SCHOOLS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has approved the following academic calendar for all basic schools (Kindergarten, Primary & Junior High School) for the 2025/2026 academic year.

FIRST TERM (15 WEEKS)

  • Reopening: Tuesday, 2nd September 2025
  • Mid-Term Break: Friday, 31st October – Monday, 3rd November 2025 (2 days)
  • Closing: Thursday, 18th December 2025
  • Vacation: Friday, 19th December 2025 – Wednesday, 7th January 2026

SECOND TERM (12 WEEKS)

  • Reopening: Thursday, 8th January 2026
  • Closing: Wednesday, 1st April 2026
  • Vacation: Thursday, 2nd April – Monday, 20th April 2026

THIRD TERM (13 WEEKS)

  • Reopening: Tuesday, 21st April 2026
  • Closing: Thursday, 23rd July 2026
  • Vacation: From Friday, 24th July 2026

The World of Robotics

In our robotics club, students dive into the exciting world of STEM. They learn to design, build, and program their own robots, tackling fun challenges and developing critical problem-solving skills. Guided by our experienced teachers, students collaborate in teams, turning creative ideas into functional machines and preparing for a future in technology.

AI Training Program

Our AI training program demystifies artificial intelligence and machine learning. Students explore how AI is changing the world, learn the basics of neural networks, and work on projects involving data analysis and 3D visualization. This program equips them with the foundational knowledge to become innovators in the tech landscape.

Culture & Dance

Abacus Training

Our abacus training program helps students develop mental math skills, improve concentration, and enhance memory. By learning this ancient calculation tool, students build a strong foundation in mathematics and boost their overall cognitive abilities in a fun and interactive way.

School Rules & Policies

Our rules and policies are designed to create a safe, respectful, and disciplined environment that supports our vision of making Christ-centered leaders. All students and parents are expected to uphold these guidelines.

General Rules

  • Respect and uphold the school's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Attend classes regularly and arrive on time. The school gate closes promptly at 8:00 a.m.
  • Wear the prescribed school uniform with pride and maintain personal hygiene.
  • Handle school properties with care and maintain a clean environment.
  • Converse only in English while on the school campus (except during language classes).
  • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated.

Dress Code

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: Main school uniform.
  • Wednesday: School Lacoste with blue/black jeans (not tattered) or a black skirt.
  • Friday: P.E. kit with sneakers.
  • Footwear: Black shoes or buckled sandals with white socks.
  • Hair must be kept neat and tidy. Long hair should be braided.
  • Jewellery is not permitted for safety reasons, though simple stud earrings are allowed at the parent's own risk.
  • Learners failing to adhere to the dress code will be sent home.

School Fees Policy

  • A minimum of half the school fees must be paid upon resumption.
  • The balance must be paid by the midpoint of the term.
  • Students with outstanding fees at the end of the term will not be permitted to take exams.
  • Feeding and Bus fees must be paid in advance (daily, weekly, or monthly).

Punctuality & Pick-up

  • Reporting Time: Before 8:00 a.m. The gate closes promptly.
  • Closing Time: School closes at 3:00 p.m.
  • A late pick-up charge of GH₵ 10.00 will be applied for pick-ups after 4:00 p.m.
